Terms of Service
The free service
TaskUp offers HTTP and SSL checks, grouped browser errors, incidents, Deploy Guard, registered controls, schedules, Modes and optional integrations. The planned public signup supports email and password, with email confirmation, and Google when available. During the current beta, access still requires an email-bound, one-use invitation key. Paid plans, AI fixes and automatic code-deployment rollback are not included.
Operator and contact
The named operator is Alex Glavin, based in England. Contact support@task-up.org for support, privacy requests or account closure. The service address and agreement arrangements are awaiting confirmation before these terms can be final.
Your website and controls
You must have authority to monitor each URL you add and to install the SDK on each site you connect. TaskUp can change only the values your site explicitly registers as controls. You decide what those controls do in your own application and are responsible for reviewing their effect on visitors, purchases and availability. Keep a way to operate your site if TaskUp is unavailable.
Accounts and credentials
You must confirm that you are at least 13. This eligibility check does not replace any permission or legal capacity needed to use the service where you live. Use an email address you control. Keep your password, invitation keys, deployment tokens and integration credentials private. Google sign-in, when enabled, uses your Google identity; it does not give TaskUp access to Gmail or Drive. An optional display name and photo personalise your own account and do not create a public profile. Public project keys identify a website to the SDK; they do not grant private database access. Put secret tokens only in server-side configuration and revoke exposed credentials promptly.
Free limits
The intended free V1 includes one project, up to three public endpoints, checks roughly every 15 minutes, up to ten registered controls and two Modes, plus bounded events and schedules. Current limits appear in Project Settings. A service-wide capacity cap may prevent creating a project even after account signup. Requests over a quota are rejected. Timing depends on worker capacity and is not an uptime guarantee.
Monitoring, alerts and schedules
Checks run at intervals and can miss brief outages. Browser-submitted errors and deployment timing are signals, not proof of cause. Alerts depend on browser permission and push delivery. Scheduled actions run when a worker next processes them, which may be later than the selected time. Automatic restoration is attempted only when the current value still matches the scheduled change. Verify important changes on your own site.
Usage, revenue and estimated profit
Usage tracking counts a bounded set of browser events. Daily active users are estimated browsers unless your application supplies a stable signed-in user ID; TaskUp cannot discover that identity from another application. Stripe revenue reflects the bounded completed-day charge snapshot after refunds known when it was read. Estimated profit subtracts your reviewed product costs, payment fees and operating costs for that same UTC day and currency. Selling prices do not establish costs. Missing inputs remain unavailable, test values are labelled, and these estimates are not accounting or tax advice.
Data you submit
Do not submit passwords, payment details, authentication tokens, request bodies or other sensitive information through SDK messages, control values or notes. If you enable optional website usage tracking, provide the notices and obtain the permissions required for your visitors. You are responsible for the content and lawful use of data sent from your site.
Acceptable use
Do not scan systems you do not control, attempt to access another account's data, bypass limits or security controls, or overload the service with automated traffic. Do not use TaskUp for unlawful activity.
Changes, closure and contact
This is an early beta. Features and limits may change as the service is tested. To request account closure or report a problem, email support@task-up.org from your account address. We will verify account ownership before acting. Final terms covering service changes, suspension, liability and disputes still require review. Applicable consumer and data protection rights remain unaffected.
Governing law
The intended governing law is that of England and Wales, subject to any rights that cannot be excluded. The dispute process still requires review before these terms become final.
